Protests broke out over a recommendation that the campus eliminate its liberal arts programs and be solely an “upper division” campus for business and administration. Coverage focuses primarily on the elimination of liberal arts curriculum, rather than issues of educational access.

It also continues to demonstrate how discourse itself plays out within the paper; it is a medium of communication for opposing parties to make accusations and demands.
