Lehman College did not have a formal art gallery – but it did create a website documenting public art pieces around the Bronx. This is a celebratory piece from the New York Times that fits in with narratives about higher education personalities and work being more accessible to the general public. It’s not a piece just announcing something that CUNY had going on. Rather, it’s about the production of it, adding a bit of substance that acknowledges the level of productivity going on at CUNY at this time.
